In the olden days (read: six months ago) $150 would buy you a meet and greet at Magcon. Today it will buy you a pass into the Expelled film premiere in Los Angeles, a Cameron Dallas shirt and a nice digital copy of the film. AwesomenssTV just rolled out this insane bundle on their Expelled movie webstore this week and I have a feeling not many people know it exists. Transportation and lodging are not included, nor is meeting the film’s stars, but it’s still a pretty sweet deal. (And odds are you will at least get a selfie on the red carpet.)
Just how is this possible, you might ask? Well, AwesomenessTV is extremely smart and knows their viewers will want to be at the premiere and will pay big bucks to do so. So for a very reasonable price you can do the following:
“Be one of the few to get the ultimate Expelled fan experience. Get 1 ticket to the Expelled Los Angeles Premiere on December 10th where you’ll be one of the first to watch the movie AND better yet get to watch it with the stars of the movie. Also includes the Official Cam Tee Shirt and a free digital copy of the movie. Limited quantity available and limit 4 per person. Airfare, transportation and lodging not included. AwesomenessTV cannot guarantee additional tickets will be available”
Expelled follows Felix (Dallas) a charming, fast talking teen who is kicked out of fictional Eastwood High after his latest prank goes terribly wrong. In a desperate move to not let his parents know his fate, Felix goes to outrageous lengths to keep them from finding out. This is actually the first time I’ve heard of a film selling tickets on their website to the film premiere and I think it’s pretty freakin’ cool. What better way to watch the movie than with the stars? The film will be available to everyone in the U.S. on December 10th–same day as the premiere–and you can pre-order it now in various bundles. (Because who wants just the film when you can have t-shirt bundles too???) New York and Chicago will also receive theatrical releases of the film on the same day.
I just have to say, kudos to AwesomenessTV for creating their own movie, offering the premiere to the fans and putting stars that teenagers actually want to see in a film. This is the future of how teen movies and entertainment should be made–by listening to their audience–and it’s exciting that one company is leading this change.
